Friends create a private room, agree on a goal (e.g. lose 4% in 30 days) and a buy-in stake. Everyone who hits the target percentage by the deadline splits the total pot.

Is there a platform fee or rake?

No. PoundPact is 100% free with a 0% platform rake. Unlike commercial apps that take 20% of your pot, your group keeps 100% of the money.

How does the Designated Treasurer work?

Your group mutually elects one trusted friend as the Designated Treasurer. Participants send their buy-in directly to the Treasurer via Venmo, Zelle, or Cash App. The challenge cannot launch until the Treasurer confirms 100% of stakes are received.

Why is weight loss measured in percentage instead of pounds?

Percentage of body weight lost provides a 100% fair playing field for all body types. A 200 lb person losing 8 lbs has accomplished the exact same 4% fitness milestone as a 150 lb person losing 6 lbs.
